Hambidge Creative Residency

In 2019, I was awarded a Summer Artist in Residence Fellowship at the Hambidge Center for Creative Arts and Sciences.

Their Mission Statement:

"Hambidge provides a residency program that empowers talented individuals to explore, develop, and express their creative voices. Situated on 600 acres in the mountains of north Georgia, Hambidge is a sanctuary of time and space that inspires individuals working in a broad range of disciplines to create works of the highest caliber. We pledge to offer a nurturing retreat, preserve Hambidge’s pristine natural environment, and provide public educational programming".

The residency allowed me the time and space to focus on researching and learning the new pieces that are on my newest CD - "The Silence Between" - a collection of programmatic pieces for solo piano. It was a beautiful place that provided a beautiful experience. So inspiring to be surrounded by artists of various disciplines. Discussions over dinner were amazing and eyeopening.
